10BASE-T1S

10BASE-T1S

10BASE-T1S uses Differential Manchester Encoding (DME). DME encodes data based on whether there is a transition within the clock period, indicating the logical state of the signal. If there is no transition within the clock period, the data state is logical 0. If transitions (either positive or negative) occur within the clock period, 10BASE-T1S operates in a half-duplex bus configuration with a maximum length of 25 meters. It supports multipoint connections with two to eight nodes. The "S" in the standard name denotes short-range implementation. The intended use of 10BASE-T1S is to replace existing bus architectures that often result in "communication islands", such as CAN, CAN FD, LIN, and RS-485.

Acute Technology provides logic analyzers and mixed-signal oscilloscopes (MSOs) with 10BASE-T1S decoding functionality.

Save as TXT/CSV

In Logic Analyzer mode, click the icon above the report area to save the decoded data as a TXT/CSV file.

Decoding Setup Steps

1. Click Quick Settings or Add Protocol Decode to select a protocol for logic analyzer capture.

2. Select 10BASE-T1S for decoding.

3. If you use Quick Settings, the system will recommend configurations for trigger type, sampling rate, voltage threshold, and channel settings.

4. Click the icon to access the Decode Settings screen

Show Sync Code: Display Commit and SSD

Hide BEACON: Exclude Beacon data from display

FCS in Byte Order: Present FCS in byte order in the report

Display 5b Code: Display the value of Special Code

Show MAC Data: Display MAC data such as Address, Data, and FCS. Additionally, the dropdown menu allows controlling whether IPv4 Data includes the Header.

Data Filter: Display only a specified number of bytes of data (minimum of 20 bytes)

Report Format: Limit the Data field to display a maximum number of bytes per line; excess content wraps to the next line.

In IPv4(0800h), there will be 20 bytes header. The Data column is able to show Transport Layer Data only or including the header.
